CAPTIVATE-METAL: Demo code keeps stopping

Part Number: CAPTIVATE-METAL

I have the CapTIvate demo board for the FR2633, the programmer, the BSWP and Metal dev kits.  I can run the IAR sample code for the BSWP and see the response from the GUI.  The metal sample code for IAR compiles, but when I run it, it keeps stopping and throwing the error: target execution stopped.  The error is happening in UART.c in the following bit of code.  If I try re-running the program it just hangs here everytime.  If I move back to the BSWP sample code everything works fine.  

Any suggestion?

    I just tried the metal example code and there is no issues.
    Could you please let me know the following information about your setup?
    1. What CapTIvate Design Center version you are using?
    2. What hardware boards are you using?
    3. Did you modify the example code?

    I am using version 1_80_00_30. The hardware is the CAPTIVATE-FR2633 board with CAPTIVATE-PGMR rev D. The problem is before I even open the GUI. I compile and run the sample code and it stops at the location shown above. Then if I hit run it just stops at the location above. If I change workspace to the sample code for the BSWP it compiles and runs fine and I can see all the button presses update in the GUI.

    Hello Damien,

    I have tried several different hardware and PC with both IAR and CCS but cannot replicate the issue you are experiencing here. I understand when you run the sample code it stops at this location but if you do not use IAR IDE to run the code just let the program run on the board will you able to see the LEDs on the metal board showing the correct number? In another word, does the code work fine without using IDE to debug the code?

    I will also suggest to try using CCS see if you have the same issue. Meanwhile, I will dig into more see if we can find the cause of your issue. Please let me know if you have any questions.
