Part Number: CAPTIVATE-PGMR
Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
I have an CAPTIVATE-PGRM, together with an CAPTIVATE-FR2676 and an CAPTIVATE-BSWP.
I was not able to connect the Captivate Design-Center with the EVAL-Kit, so I tried so flash the firmware of the BSWP-Example manually:I tried to flash the FR2627 Board trough CCS, but CCS wanted to update the Firmware of the eZ-FET Debugger. I triggered the update, but now it has to be 'recovered'. If I want to flash/debug the BSWP example in CCS (after pressing 'BRIDGE BSL ENABLE' + 'BRIDGE RESET', and then releasing 'BRIDGE-RESET' while keeping 'BRIDGE BSL ENABLE' pressed), I get the following error: "Error initializing emulator: One of the connected MSP-FETs / eZ-FETs debuggers needs recovery. Select 'Recover' to start the recovery process. Note: Only one MSP-FET / eZ-FET debugger can be connected to your system during recovery." In that window I can press 'recover', if I press 'recover' I get the following error: "MSP430: Error initializing emulator: One of the connected MSP-FETs / eZ-FETs debuggers needs recovery. Select 'Recover' to start the recovery process. Note: Only one MSP-FET / eZ-FET debugger can be connected to your system during recovery."
CCS is updated to the newest version.

When you receive the new PGMR board.
Do not press the buttons in any circumstance.
In reply to Ling Zhu2:
Now I received a new programmer board.Could you tell me what I have to do, to get the BSWP-Example Working?I already tried the following:Opened the CAPTIVATE-Design-Center, opened the BSWP-Example Project, then plugged in the USB into the programmer, and clicked 'connect'.
Then I get the following Error:'HID Device detected, but could not connect to it'
The VID of the board is '2047', and the PID is '0965'
I pressed no buttons on the board ;)
What should I do?
Please unplug all other USB devices on your PC, and close CapTIvate Design Center, then reopen CapTIvate Design Center and plug PGMR.
Well I tried that, but didn't change anything.Any other Ideas?I need to get this working fast!Time is running out, we need to decide if we will use the Captivate MSP in an upcoming project or not.
And with an non-functional eval-kit, the decision would be clear ...
Could you please try it on another computer?
If you see the issue again, please send me the screen capture.
Hi Ling,Indeed it's working on another computer, thanks for that hint.
But how could I get it working also on my computer? It's not a real solution to work on the other computer on this project.
Have you tried to restart your own computer?
I tried a lot of things, and something did work, so I was able to use it with my own computer.Today I restarted my Computer, after that I now get the same error when I want to connect the Captivate Center to the Eval-Kit ("HID device detected, but could not connect to it").I can see there are two COM-Ports in the device manager ("MSP Application UART1" and 'MSP Debug Interface'), flashing the Eval-Kit trough CodeComposer Studio works fine.
Could please help me to find out why it isn't working anymore?
The Captivate technology looks really interesting for our project, but I can't use it in an real project if even the Eval-Kit does not work!!!
