How to add new controller in CCS4

Hello,

I want to create new  project in CCS4 for MSP430G2233.  While selecting the controller in new project creation procedure, it was not present there in the list, so i added lnk_msp430g2233, .cmd and its .h file but still it is not there in list.  SO how to add it ?? Thanks in advance

    Hi vasanti,

    New devices are not retro-actively added to the older versions of CCS, instead CCS is updated. Looking at release notes, it looks like G2xx3 support was added in CCSv4.2.3. However, it is recommended to use the latest version of CCSv5, which should have device support for all of the latest devices, as well as having more features and bug fixes over CCSv4. You should be able to import CCSv4 projects into CCSv5, so it should not be difficult to migrate them.
