Hello all,

I am implementing a translator for I2C <-> RS-422 using the MSP430G2153.  I started with the sample code "msp430g2xx3_uscia0_uart_07_9600.c."  On sending out, by putting out pulses to unused an pin, I know that the code puts data into the UCA0TXBUF.  Although with bits 1 and 2 both set to one in P1SEL and P1SEL2,  the scope does not see any transition on these two pins (P1.1 and P1.2).  Please advice on which other controls are necessary for the MSP430G2153 to send the data out on these pins.

Also, I will need to take data from the UART and send it out on the I2C.  Any additional advice will also be appreciated.
