Hello,

I just want to try out the Hardware Evaluation Tool.
Therefore I get through the steps described here: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_Bluetooth_Hardware_Evaluation_Tool

I have flashed the "Transparent Mode" example on the msp430f5438A.

Connect with the Device with USB.

But when trying to load the right Service Pack, there is an "COM Port timed out " error.

I don't know where the problem is.

Hi,

I think this is because you have not disabled sleep before downloading the SP.

Follow the bellow steps, Just one additional step before downloading the SP.

Select the port
Select the Service pack you want to download
Select modify SP tab and disable sleep. --> disable sleep
Select the Send SP tab and you send the service pack.

The Problem was that the USB-UART Converter doesnt work with this µC Firmware. ?!? When I flash e.g. SPP_demo it is working without problems.

I opened JP5 (TX RX) and pluged in a FTDI. Now it is working.
