Hi,

Currently I am working on MSP430F427 device and I want to know that is there any provision to store some important data in its Flash memory.  Let see If I have an integer and I want to store that 2 bytes in a location of flash, could I assign those values in flash or read back from those data when I need?

Thanks

  • If that data is constant and known at compilation time, the compiler will do that for you. Otherwise, at run-time, you need to use the Flash Controller to write to the Flash. Furthermore, you may need to erase before you write. And you have to erase at least one entire segment at a time. The User's Guide has an entire Chapter about Flash Controller. There are also numerous examples and posts in this forum about this subject .
