MSP430F67451 SD24_B Datasheet Specification

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F67451

Hi,

May I check with TI the below information provided by the datasheet is it characterized over the full device temperature range?

SD24_B Power Supply and Recommended Operating Conditions (Page 83 of the MSP430F67451 datasheet)

My customer has a concern about the % of the full-scale range (FSR) of the ADC over the full device temperature range that will be guarantee by TI.

For example, does he needs to lower to 90% of the FSR when operating at extreme temperature condition when using internal reference? Or he can maintain the 100% FSR throughout the full device temperature operating with the characteristic within specification. Thanks

Regards,

Weiren

  • Weiren,

The values shown for the input differential voltage (VID) are valid across the entire scope of the characterized ambient operating temperatures (-40C to +85C).

Additionally, please notice note (1) in the table titled "SD24_B Power Supply and Recommended Operating Conditions" on the page you mention in the datasheet. This shows that the true full scale range for the SD24_B is defined by 80% of the voltage reference given to the module. If your VREF is other than the on board 1.16V, you will have to calculate your corresponding FSR levels for individual gain settings.

The easy formula for this is (0.8*VREF)/GAIN = FSR.

Let me know if this answers your questions or if you are still looking for more information.

  • Hi Tyler,

Thanks for your confirmation and kind explanation. :)

    Weiren
