The time constraints for BSL on MSP430F5658

Guru 16800 points

Hello,

Please let me know when I should power up DVCC after PUR high (for USB BSL).
On my customer's board, the time between the PUR high and the powering up of DVCC is 5 seconds, and then BSL doesn't run normally.

Best Regards,

Nomoto

  • I do not think the length of time from PUR being high to Vcc being turned on matters at all. I think what matters is that (a) PUR is high at the moment Vcc is turned on, and (b) PUR remain high while the CPU finishes executing the Boot Code. See slau208.pdf about Boot Code.
