Hi,

I have msp430fr6989 and want to perform OTA for the same. The system will work like: firmware is received from a gateway and is saved in external flash (SPI interface). Now the bootloader should copy this image from external flash to internal flash and execute it. How it can be done in msp430fr6889. I have searched the forum and many are suggested to use MSPBoot. However, MSPBoot for msp430fr6989 with 20bit support is not yet released. Also,I am using contiki OS and the released MSPBoot has support for only IAR and CCS platforms. How can I migrate the tools to Eclipse in linux?

Waiting for a reply.

  • Hi Anjaly,

A FRAM OTA MSPBoot release, including examples for the MSP430FR6989, is planned to be published by the end of September. It will only include CCS support, I have no suggestions on how to migrate the projects for the Contiki OS.

    Regards,
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

I also need a bootloader for my application so is the MSP430FR6989 MSPBoot release out? If not when will you release it?

    Thanks!

    Best Regards
