Part Number: MSP430FR5994

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi ,

I'm attempting to work through the TIDM-FILTERING-SIGNALPROCESSING reference design (doc tidubi9a.pdf) but I get an error when I attempt to import the tidcc06a/CSS project listed in the Ref design page titled:
"TIDM-FILTERING-SIGNALPROCESSING-LEA Software (Rev. A)"

The document lists support for: Composer Studio™ v6.1 or Embedded Workbench IAR v7.40.1

But,  both the IAR and CCS projects fail to import.

The IAR version I tried is: 7.50.2.10505

This is the error that I get from CCS 6.1.1.00022.

See details below.

   Error in project-spec:
   java.lang.NullPointerException

However, I did find that the CCS example imports, compiles and loads fine from CCS 7.0.0.00042.

Cheers,

Jon

  • Hi Jon,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Have you tried checking for updates inside of your CS 6.1 version? The MSP430 Compiler or Device Support Files may need to be updated. Importing the project works well in my CCS v6.2. I will alert the TID owner to investigate the issue.

    Regards,
    Ryan

  • Follow-up to this post: This TI Design's firmware was updated using a newer version than CCS v6.1 but the documentation was never changed to reflect this, work is being done internally to update the document.
