MSP430F5244: Program Crash during wait for stable clock at Init function.

Hi TI Experts,

Please provide us your advice for my customer issue.

According to the customer, MSP430F5244 jumped to unexpected PC while waiting on stabled clock in part of init function when they used this mcu as 24MHz. But if they used the lower frequency for this device like 16MHz or 20MHz, this device worked. Also, they used the MSP430F5242 and ran the same program for this device, this phenomenon did not happen.

Have you ever seen this issue?
Would you please provide your advice in order to resolve this issue?

Sounds as if the core voltage was not increased. But it's impossible to say without the source code …

Hi Kaka,

To expand on Clemens response, do you set the core voltage to level 3 before setting the clock frequency to 24MHz? You can see for reference this code example: dev.ti.com/.../
