That should not be happening, it sounds like you may have somehow damaged the controller. Are all of the currents within spec?

Yes the currents are within range and voltage is also within range. I am using LED Driver ( MAX IC ) to control the LED's. I am using 11 LED Drivers with the microcontroller and There are over a 800 LED's being controlled by the 11 LED Drivers. Could this lead to the heating of microcontroller ??

I wouldnt think so, as this is what the driver's are for. Unless you have some sort of back path for the current to somehow effect the micro.

The LED driver's VCC is controlled by the Microcontroller, We are providing 3.3V as VCC. I have checked for VCC and Ground shorting together but there is no short. I wanted to ask you whether there was any way to measure the heat dissipated ?? Can we use a heat sink to reduce the heat?? 

You should be able to use a temp probe to measure the heat. But, the fact that it's getting hot bothers me, this shouldn't be happening.

How hot is it getting?

Is it possible the device was exposed to ESD?

We use anti static wristbands and anti static mats here in the Lab. All the circuits have ESD protection.The Temperature is around 95 centigrade. Can we use a heatsink to reduce the heat??

Hi Daivik,
You can try that, but it still doesn't answer the question of why the MSP is getting hot in the first place. 95 C is very hot for an MSP to produce. Do you have more than one board that produces this behavior?

We had an issue with the MSP432 launchpads a while back, where shorting a cap next to the usb port (usually by a finger) caused a current path into the micro that caused damage resulting in a hot MSP. Is this at all possible in your design?

Can you measure the current draw for the MSP? If it exceeds datasheet values then it is likely damaged.

You could also try either a fresh part or a fresh board, and taking extreme caution not to touch the board once powered on and see if it heats.
