MSP430F2252: Is an external crystal required?

MSP430F2252 already had internal 32KHz crystal, do we still need add extra Crystal externally at the pin 2 and pin 3?

what is the external crystal spec ?

The F2252 does not have an internal crystal. Why do you think it has one?

Hello Ray,

Clemens Ladisch is exactly right. Were you thinking about the internal Very-Low-Power Low-Frequency Oscillator (VLO)? If so, you can see its specs at the bottom of page 41 in the datasheet.
