MSP430FR2110: Max Power consumption in Active mode

Hi team,

Our customer is interested in MSP430FR2110IRLLR. Therefore, customer is investigating this max power consumption. According to this datasheet, we are able to know typical power consumption as follow. However, customer need max power consumption. I mean, due to customer’s rule, if there is not max power consumption data, it seems, customer is not able to develop their system with this MSP430FR2110.

Could you clarify it, please?

If there is something like the spreadsheet for MSP430FR2110 power estimation, application-note or URL, It is really appreciated.

Hi Miyazaki,

We have no the max value. We believe the max active mode supply current has no much reference value. Because the active mode power consumtion is based on customer's actual condition, including cache hit rate, peripheral's settings. For example, the power consumption is different with different timer period, uart communication baud rate.

Thanks for your comments on this.
We understand the active mode power consumption is based on customer's actual condition. Today, we were able to have a meeting with this team and tried to explain your Expert’s comments. However, customer seems to need actual power-consumption in active mode ,at least. Regarding customer's actual condition, it seems, customer plans to use only memory(FRAM/RAM). I mean, customer does not use any other function( ADC, Timer, I2C, UART).

Therefore, we would like to share the actual power-consumption during just accessing FRAM/RAM
Could you measure this power consumption with TI EVM and share it with us, please?

And then, if we will be able to gain your expert’s comments on this, It is really, really appreciated.
I mean, regarding Max power consumption, TI is expecting less than this value +20% or something.
