When I try to do ‘Request Update’. The update failed message show-up as below picture.

How can I fix it?

    Could you please provide a little more detail on what your hardware and software setup is?
    - What version of CCS/IAR are you using?
    - Compiler version?
    - Which demo and USS SW Library version?
    - Have you made any modifications to the jumpers or pins of the EVM430-FR6043
    - Have you made any changes to the out-of-box example code?

     I want to use  the EVM430-FR6043 for water flow. So I modified the firmware to support  my custom configuration.

    Before modification(gas mode)：

    After modification(water mode)：

    But after I revised it, I had the following problem：

    The device cannot be identified after modifying  the firmware.

    Thank you for providing further detail about your application. I am trying to look at the before/after files but the attachment seems to be linked as an image file instead of a document. Could you please provide detail of the changes you made from the default gas configuration?

    I addition I am going to allow an expert in the MSP430 ultrasonic sensing apps team to provide further support in getting your application up and running.

    Lee,

    Are you rebuilding the code in CCS before loading to the board?  Can you take a picture of what your board jumper configuration looks like?  I would suggest removing JP3 and J31 if you are using this for water.

    Hi Eddie:

    I didn't rebuild the code in CCS . My board jumper configuration  is shown in the following figure：

    In order to use the EVM430-FR6043 for water flow .The hardware changes:

    1.replace R75 and R80 with 1000pF cap, replace R77 and R78 with 200 ohm resistor, and place 0 ohm resistors on R76 and R79.

    2.remove JP3 and J31

    If I want to use EVM430-FR6043 for water flow , what changes need to be made in software or hardware?

    You could also remove JP4 and JP5, although this is not the cause of your issue.  It sounds like a software issue.  I recommend you build the water code and use that.  As an alternative, I have built the code and attached the binary if you want to try and load this one.  MSP430FR6043EVM_USS_Water_Demo.txt
