Hi，

A project design with MSP430F6736。

the debugging program can be debugged normally at first. After some modifications of the program, the compilation is OK. but when debugging, the program go wrong and lead to reset.

After , I had a breakpoint debugging, find some problems, and modifications and debug again. The model does not match the hardware, indicating that the hardware is MSP430F6658. If I continue to download, the program go wrong,again.

(With the same simulator, other MSP430 can be debugged normally,and the MSP430F7636 sample is from TI )

How can you pass the compile if the program is wrong?

2. Can you try another MSP430F7636? Or you just have one piece?

3. What about change the target configuration?

Replaced with another MSP430F6736 , It can be debugged normally .
But I still want to know why there were hardware mismatches before, Are there any possible reasons?

Hi,

It is possible that it is just MSP430F6658.

I think you can set it as MSP430F6658 first, and check the TLV data.

If the device ID is not 8286h but 812Ch, there are two possibility:

1. It is just F6658

2. You have changed the data in Device ID.

Cause the projet time limited, The tests on the causes of hardware mismatches have not yet been done.
