MSP430F6736: MSP430F6736,TIDC_EVSE_WIFI

Part Number: MSP430F6736
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3100

Hi,

I have modified TIDC-EVSE-WIFI TI design as shown in attached pic. Because I didnt find CC3100_EM_BP_ADAPTUR, I mapped the pins as was described in Table 4 of TIDUBV2. I programmed both EVM and CC3100BOOST cards, but I can not see its WLAN network. I checked the definition of NHIB Mapping in board.h file of the procet, It seems it was wrong, that mapping was allocated to PILOT in design. Also the IRQ mapping is done to port P1.2. Both of them are connected to JP5 and JP6.  When I connect the CC3100BOOST to the EVM the wifi is not working. Can you please tell me how I can solve this problem?

  • Navid,
You are correct, it looks like there was a mistake in the released source code. nHIB should be 8.6, not 8.7. It can be pulled up manually on the boosterpack via a jumper to just leave the CC3100 in full operation mode.
The IRQ line also needs to be tied to an interruptable port (1.x or 2.x). If I recall correctly, we did this manually with a jumper wire. If you are changing the board and not using the other RF header, you can tie X11-4 to the RX0 signal to enable the IRQ.

    Regards,
    Bart
