MSP430F4260: MSP430x4xx Family

MSP430x4xx family contains 16bit RISC microcontroller. Does TI offer 32bit microcontroller in MSP family. I want following features:

(1) 32 bit microcontroller

(2) 20-24bit ADC

(3) SCI (UART) 1-2 ports.

If TI does not offer such component, could you please tell me whether can I process 32 bit data (addition, multiplication, integer and float 32 bit) with 16bit RISC microcontroller which are available in existing MSP family.

Hello Imran,

Sure, we have the MSP432 line of devices which are Cortex M4F 32 bit controllers. You can find the parametric search for these devices below. These devices do not offer a 20 bit ADC though.

If you stay in the MSP430 family, we do have devices with 24 bit Sigma Delta ADC that are targeted at energy metering. You can find the parametric search results for these devices below.

You can check out the IQmathLib for MSP430 below which uses 32 bit fixed-point signed numbers.

Hi Eddie, Thanks for your swift response. I have read details of MSP432 and MSP430 family devices. I see that only MSP430I2020 - MSP430I2041 are available in -40 to 105 degC temperature range. All other devices are available in -40 to 85 degC. Could you please confirm whether I am right?
Acutally I need MSPx device in industrial temperature range (-40 to 105 degC at least). Please help me in this regard.

The I20xx devices are the only with a 24bit ADC in that temp range. The link below shows them all. I2041, I2040, I2031, I2030, I2021, and I2020.
