MSP430FR6989: Error Initializing Emulator

Hello,

We are having connectivity issues with MSP430FR6989 LaunchPad. This issue has started suddenly. Firmware update is not happening. I have read similar posts and ensured the emulator is not connected to USB 3.0 port. Still firmware update is failing. The USB is visible on Device Manager also. The same issue is observed on CCS V8 running on windows10 and ccs v6 running on windows 7. Kindly suggest further steps to clear this issue.

Could you capture the failure error massage after you click update it?

Can you find the devices in your Device Manager like below?

Hello Gary,

The image which you have shown is available. COM port is detected. Checked through device manager.

After I click update also it tries to update and then throws the same error message.

Do you have other msp430 devices in hand? Or do you have other debugger like MSP-FET in hand?

Hello Gary,

Issue is not solved. Multiple times the files get downloaded but update not happening. Is there any offline update available for this EVM so that we can try offline update. I checked that the EZ-FET is detected in windows device manager and also ensure the USB port on system is not USB 3.0.
