Hello,

I am trying to spin a 3 phase motor with DRV8343H-Q1EVM in "sensored motor" mode in the GUI. I try to complete step 7 and 8 (page 17) in the "DRV8343H-Q1EVM and DRV8343S-Q1EVM User's Guide" but when I try to debug "DRV8343_MSP430F5529_Trapezoidal_sensored_BLDC" I get an error:

"Error initializing emulator:
No USB FET was found"

I checked previous discussions on this error in this forum but, unfortunately I did not found something helpful.

What can I do that could resolve my problem?

Hi Eli,

You need a Spy-Bi-Wire programmer (USB FET)

Hello Ling,

Thanks for the response. I have this Spy-Bi-Wire programmer: CC2640R2 wireless MCU (SimpleLink Bluetooth low energy). I read the user guide and their not mentioned how I need to connect between the CC2640R2 and the DRV8343H-Q1EVM. I tried to understand this with http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaa754/slaa754.pdf but its not completely clear. I need pull wires from DIO23 and DIO25 to J1 connector on the DRV board? What I need to do with the jumpers on UART Backchannel (RXD & TXD)? I need pull additional wires between them, except ground connection?

In addition, where can I find a PDF that explain all the feature and connectors on the DRV8343H-Q1EVM board, like R1, J3, S1?

Hi Eli,

The programmer on CC2640R2 launchpad is XDS100 which is not able to program MSP430.

You need a MSP430 launchpad.
