MSP430F2618-EP: After welding and baking at 120 C for 2 hours, can MSP430F2618-EP bear it?

Part Number: MSP430F2618-EP

Dears:

After welding and baking at 120 C for 2 hours, can MSP430F2618-EP bear it?

Will Flash flip and cause program errors or other problems?

  • Luck,

This violates the absolute maximum ratings.

Storage temperature: Unprogrammed device --55C to 150C
                                          Programmed device   --40C to 105C

There is possibility that it could corrupt the flash.  It would be recommended to program the device after this step.

  • Hi Wade:

I am so sorry for making your misunderstanding.

Customer knows don't program the device since the temperature of Programmed device is lower and can not bear the operation.

If they do not program the device. After welding and baking at 120 C for 2 hours, can MSP430F2618-EP bear it.

Is the Time so long to damage these device?

Pls. kindly help to give some advice.

  • 120C for 2 hours will not damage an unprogrammed device.

Programming device after this condition is required to insure proper programming.

This is the meaning of the absolute maximum ratings for programmed and un-programmed devices.

    Hopefully this clears this up.

    Regards,

    Wade
