MSP430FR5994: BSL Memory area as INFO area

Hey,

Can anyone please guide me related to memory allotment. I am thinking to extend my „Info“ area to „BSL“ since I am not using it for bootloader. Is it possible? Can I just remove BSL from my linker command file and extend Info to that Memory address?

I‘ll appreciate your response.

Hi Jahangir,

Do you mean the 512-byte INFO area is not large enough for you that you want to put something into the 2kB BSL area?

If so, the BSL area CAN'T be used as user specified memory as it's ROM and the content is programmed during production.

Hi Harry,

I appreciate your response. Yes my INFO area is already packed with almost 500 bytes. So I thought to use BSL as part of INFO, since I am just waisting 2 K bytes of space.
