MSP-EXP430G2: MSP430_LaunchPad_Firmware_Update web page disappeared

Can't you just upload your code with CCS to the board?

There's a bug in the Launchpad 1.4 firmware (in the programmer side of the board) such that it can program some chips (e.g. MSP430G2231) but not others (e.g. MSP430G2553).  TI already made a fix for it, in that link, but the web page has disappeared.  If you look at the references I mentioned, it says that link should have a GUI app that upgrades the firmware in the programmer side of the board so that it will also be able to program MSP430G2553.

Can you help me find that MSP430_LaunchPad_Firmware_Update tool?  Thanks.

I would give it a try with the latest CCS version.

Usually the programmer firmware is also updated in this case.

I'm just curios, what happens if you try to program the G2553 with CCS? What does CCS say?
