EVM430-FR6047: Which transducer can I connect to EVM430-FR6047

Hello TI Team,

which trasnducer can I connect to the EVM430-FR6047 eval-board?

Is it just the or similar sensors like shown in the manual (brass pipe and U-type reflecting structure). See: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau810/slau810.pdf

Or can I also use other transducers like these: http://www.audiowell.com/en/product-detail.aspx?id=58 in other transmission modes (diagonal-, single-bounce-, double-bounce-mode)

And is there a limitation for pipe dimensions?

Hello Lucio,

Other transducers and pipe configurations as you have shown could be used with the MSP430FR604x device. The pipe size would be limited by the signal level that can be received. Diagonal provides the greatest signal level followed by single bounce and double bounce. Is there a specific pipe dimension you are looking to use?

Hi Eddie,

ok thanks. Sounds good. In the beginning I wanted to start with DN20 and DN50 PVC pipe.

So I guess I am good with the EVM430-FR6047 :-).

DN20 and DN50 will be no problem.
