Hello.
I have a question.
I want to measure the active power of single phase 220v AC.

The MCU I use is the STM Coretex-M4.

I want to get active power using interfaces like UART and SPI.

The 'TI' IC I found is the MSP430F6730A.

My CT sensor can measure up to 60A and the ratio is 2500: 1.

CT sensor->
MSP430F6730A->
Cortex-M4

Can you draw such a circuit to get active power?

A reference circuit using the MSP430F6730A is required.

Also,

Provide an IC other than the MSP430F6730A.

I want to measure only active power without using LCD.

For the CT detection circuit you can refer to EVM430-F6736 or EVM430-F6779.

You can choose MSP430i2010 to help you save the cost.

Hi,

1. Sorry, it is my mistake. It is MSP430i2021(You can find this device in the GUI).

2. You can download it directly. But if you want to help your design, you at least need to buy a MSP-EXP430F5529LP for HID Communication.

3. It is just a high level block diagram. Please see the schematic, it allows you to use shunt resister or CT sensor.

4. Pay attention that the software described in the UG is an old version. Please refer to the GUI link I send to you.

The circuit of the CT sensor consists of:

I am trying to use MSP430F6736 80pin with metering IC chip.

The data sheet shows that in the circuit example, SD0P0 and SD0N0 are i1 + and i1-.

Hi,

1. I advice you to follow this schematic, you need some protection(D5, D6, D7, D8, D10). The key point is R10, which will affect the sensitivity.

2. I advice you can communicate with the device through UART, the communication protocol is provided by TI, you don't need to build a new one.

4. I don't get the point why you post a schematic of oscillator.

3. Are you going to design a new product or just do some research? There is still a long way to go. Maybe we can give more help offline.
