Hi!

I saw the below white paper which shows explains how matched filter can be used to correct a noisy ADC wavelet signal against a reference signal:

"The convolution calculation in matched filter is the same as FIR with the reference signal patterns as the filter coefficients." I could not find any more implementation info.

1. Is this already implemented in the USS library?

2. How can I generate coefficients for the FIR filter using a reference signal?

You can find an example regarding the FIR coefficients on page 9 of the FAQ:

Please also note that the example filter is already implemented in our code and coefficients are located in USS_userConfig.h.

Hi Leonardo Estevez

Ok I know how to generate a band-pass filter using the coefficients, but I want to generate coefficients for a matched filter using a reference "template" signal as described in your white paper. This is to reduce echo/inteference from the same source at the same frequency, which can't be removed with a bandpass/lowpass filter.

Have you done this using matlab?

Don't you just need to use the reference signal to cross-correlate with and regenerate it at the sampling rate you wants to use?
