FET Pro 430

When I try to program using FET-Pro 430 by Elprotronic Inc , in the message window I am getting JTAG communication initialization as failed . Along with this the controller board is not getting power from the programmer . After repeatedly facing this issue , I replaced the programmer with a new one and then further programming attempts were successful without any impediments . I have checked for connector as well as USB cables . Both are working fine with a new programmer.

Could you please give any pointers on this issue?

    Hey Rahul,

    It sounds like the tool is recognized by the PC, but the target side isn't being recognized or powered.  Is this correct?  

    How long is the cable/how many boards are you trying to program?  If you all the cables from the working setup with this tool, does it follow the tool or the cables?  

    Can you try a different channel of the MSP-GANG?  

    I guess it might be possible for the front end to be damaged, but I'm unaware of that happening before.
