MSP430F5171: General question

Hy everybody, i'm asking here beacouse i think some developer could have some advice to give me.

I have done many applications using MSP430 family, all with success and reliability.

Generally i have to connect devices to PC, and i have to design a Grafical interface for the user.

So far i used Visual Basic 6, but now i have moved to Visual Studio, been VB6 obsolete.

The problem is that Visual Studio seems to be to slow for real time processing of signals coming

from external devices. All worked well with VB6.

Someone has some advice for using an efficent language, that have graphical features?

Matlab. Though I have not found C# in Visual studio slow in my data acquisition systems.

Matlab i think is too dedicated to processing.

I need a language more universal, that can make the PC an interface that shows parameters and run a generic external device, manipulate files etc....

What i have found is that connecting PC to an external device (USB), VB6 works perfectely, Visual Sudio is very slow.

It is disappointing to find this after having moved to Visual Studio many apps.

Hi Enzo,

Have you looked at the GUI that comes with Python? something like TkInter?

Hi Srinivas,

I've googled and it seems to be a part of Python.

I only know Python as name.

I have many program that i've moved from the great VB6 to Visual Studio, it took much time.

Now i would be afraid to repeat the operation toword Python, i should evaluate well first.
