MSP432E411Y: & MSP432E401Y: Secure Boot Support and Setup

Part Number: MSP432E411Y

Hello,

May we ask for confirmation if these two parts indeed support secure boot?
In the technical reference manuals, it is mentioned that the unique device identifiers, UNIQUEID0 to UNIQUEID3 Registers, can be used to initiate secure boot processes.

Also, are there any external hardware or software configuration required to implement secure boot?

Thank you,
Elisha

Are you asking if they have a bootloader? If so, yes they do. You can learn more about it by reading the MSP432E4 SimpleLink™ Microcontrollers Bootloader (BSL) user's guide.

The language here is slightly confusing. I don't think this means that the identifiers can trigger the bootloader process themselves but that they could be used as a password or key to securely "unlock" a specific device to then trigger or allow the bootloader process.
