MSP430I2041: Possible to erase chip when JTAG disabled via password?

Part Number: MSP430I2041

I am working on securing a MSP430I2041 and I am trying to understand how I would go about reflashing a chip once the JTAG password has been set. I have experience with AVRs where you set lock bits, but these can be erased (along with the rest of the chip) by performing a chip erase. On the MSP it's not clear how I would erase the chip once secured since JTAG is disabled.

So, is it possible to erase the chip once JTAG has been disabled? And if not, is the only way to unlock the chip by having the code on the chip erase the password?

Thanks,

Jason
