MSP430FR6047: RTC

Hi ,

MSP430FR6047 has inbuilt RTC. Can I set Date and Time and get the calendar details when I read it back?

secondly If I use this RTC can I go to low power mode during the USS measurement cycles and still the RTC will not disturb.

Please advice me on this or else I need to use external RTC.

Hi Suhas,

Please see table 6-1 in the datasheet which shows what low frequency peripherals, such as RTC, are available in each LPM mode. Section 6.5.1 of the datasheet describes the clock source of peripherals. RTC is clocked by the LFXT. Generally, LPM3 is used and the RTC is still able to run in the low power mode.
