MSP430FR5989: SIMO stays high after spi communication in module A1

Hi there,

I'm using timer A to wake up MCU from LPM3 and do spi cumnication with CC1101 radio. Although I configured spi pins as input after the comunication is done , notice that SIMO stays high. I used module A1.

When I switch to spi module B0 I have no issue.

My question is what is cuasing SIMO in module A1 to stay high even when there is no data to comunicat and it configured as input afer the comunication is done ?

I sourced my timer A from ACLK which using the VLO.

SPI clock is 1 MHz and sourced from SMCLk.

I'm using custom board based on msp430fr5989 rev C.

It is most likely a fault in your code but there is no way to verify that since you didn't post it.

If you did this by setting PSEL=00, they reverted to your GPIO configuration. How have you configured the pins?

This condition isn't wrong, and it isn't necessarily undesirable -- if you disconnect the pins from the SPI, you don't want them to float, so the internal pullups/downs (REN register) aren't a bad idea.
