CCS/MSP430FR6043: A SAPH problem with FR6043_USSSWLib_template_example

Hello. I don`t grasp work of SAPH in the FR6043_USSSWLib_template_example. It emits and catch ultrasound beam in normal as I understand. But when I try to use an example it does nothing. SAPH a default configuration have to alter or something to add in the project?

I did not understand this fully. Are you having issues when you try to use the SAPH related code in a new example project?

I have a problem. When I use this template a CH header has`t any signal. When the project is running SAPH have to generate beams for the transducer. But the oscilloscope doesn`t catch signals. And I suppose that SAPH configuration should be alter, because a USS_userconfig file is fixed normal.

Hello,

The SAPH configuration is based on the settings in USS_userConfig.h. As indicated in the threads https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/t/957610 , https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/t/957553 & https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/t/956352, please first validate the configuration settings in USS_userConfig.h.

My suggestion is to use the MSP430FR6047EVM_USS_Water_Demo project with the USS Design Center and follow the Water Flow meter quick start guide at https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slau810. After it is working correctly as expected, you can generate the header files including USS_userConfig.h.

With that generated USS_userConfig.h, you should be able to make use of the example project. The correct configuration settings are important for you to get your code to work.

Explain about the MSP430FR6047EVM_USS_Water_Demo project, please. It`s a project which board is flashed by the Uniflash utility? I can`t find MSP430FR6047EVM_USS_Water_Demo on site and in Resource explorer.

Hello,

You can download the MSP430FR6047EVM_USS_Water_Demo project from https://www.ti.com/tool/MSP-ULTRASONIC-DESIGN-CENTER -> https://software-dl.ti.com/msp430/msp430_public_sw/mcu/msp430/USSSWLib/USSSWLibWater/latest/index_FDS.html. The installer for this project is UltrasonicWaterFR604x_02_40_00_00_windows_installer.exe. After installing it, you can import the project into CCS, compile and download or you can also find the image in C:\ti\msp\UltrasonicWaterFR604x_02_40_00_00\image.

Hello,

I used USS utility to get an USS_userConfig file and then the file is compared with an equal file from the template and is got new values to defines. And it changed nothing. What can I do more to solve this problem?

With the USS utility, can you please share the screen shot of the working "Waveforms" & "ADC Capture" display panels?
Can you share the USS_userConfig.h file generated by the USS utility?
Can you share the USS_userConfig.h file you are using with the FR6043_USSSWLib_template_example project?

Sorry, but I have a big mistake in the description of my problem.
I had two boards. First is the enterprise board that based on MSP430FR6043, second is EVM430-FR6047. When I used USS with EVM all work correct. I got the graphs of ADC Capture and other parameters in the utility. As I understood it generated some h-files and it wasn`t used anymore.
After enterprise made a conclusion, that MSP430FR6043 more useable, Cause by that one it would produce a product for gas and water segment. And at now time I try to set template for FR6043. And when you suggested me to use h-file from USS to configure I took a header for EVM430-FR6047 (the board on MSP430FR6043 will be use for water at first). That file has some differences from template example. What can I do at this situation? Can I use settings of EVM or it`s silly? Where may I get more information about debugging of example project.USS_userConfig_EVM.h 3527.USS_userConfig.h

Hello,

The header file that you attached - USS_userConfig_EVM.h - is from an earlier version of the USS SW while the other header file you are using with your enterprise board - 3527.USS_userConfig.h - seems to be with a later version of the SW. You need to make sure you are generating with the same version of the SW.

You should run the latest version of the USS GUI utility with EVM430-FR6047 and regenerate the header files. You need to make sure it is the same version as the one you are using with the Template project. Hopefully, this should resolve the issue.

My understanding is that you do not have the https://www.ti.com/tool/EVM430-FR6043 but you have designed your own board using MSP430FR6043.
