MSP430FR2155: Oscillator output can be connected to the Xin Pin?

Part Number: MSP430FR2155

Dear Sir\Madam,

We are Using MSP430FR2155TRHAT part ,we have connected Oscillator output to the Xin pin,can we connect like this?,if we are using in this configuration what need to be done for Xout.

Kindly suggest that Oscillator can be used or only Crystal oscillator need to connected.

To use an external oscillator, do the Clock System setup as though you had a crystal, but also set CSCTL6:XT1BYPASS to tell the MCU not to run the oscillator circuit. [Ref User Guide (SLAU445I) Table 3-10]

XOUT can then be used for other purposes. [Ref data sheet (SLASEC4C) Sec 7.1.2]

Hear i am attaching schematic ,in this we are taking signal from external oscillator ,kindly can u check and tell that is fine or any modification need to be done.

I should defer to the EEs here for a true schematic review.

If the "XIN" signal is from the oscillator (not shown?), I see it goes to the XIN pin, which is correct. In XT1BYPASS mode there's no reason to connect anything to XOUT.

Sorry for the inconvenience ,we are taking from other board to MCU board,that's where i have mentioned one test pad,i forgot to mention in yesterday reply.in other board we are having oscillator.
