The MSP Gang programmer is indeed excellent for productivity but some improvement would be needed to avoid confusion and to speed up defective isolation.
There won't be an issue when all 8 targets had been used for programming at the perfect and nothing wrong conditions.
It would difficult to isolate which target had caused issue whenever there is connection issue on one of the target, then all the slot will fail with "ERROR 23: MCU device initialization failed". This will require big effort to identify which device or which nail board fixture really have causing the failure.
