MSP430AFE251: Microcontroller to interface with an Occupany Sensor

Hello,

I'm looking for a microcontroller to interface with a PIR sensor. The product is an Occupancy Sensor Device.
The current chip we're using is LS6506R.
Datasheet for reference:

We're looking for a replacement for the LS chip.
I've gone through the datasheet of MSP430AE251. It looks fit for our product, but I wanted to know if there's any product in the same family or even a different family which is more compact than MSP430AE251 for our application.

Cost is also an important factor in this case.

Sorry to reply late since I'm in training this week.

To give you a selection for the part, I would like to ask for your system requirements especially for the MCU, for example memory size/GPIO/peripherals/low power performance etc. It's hard to select a part to compare to another part without any requirements because you are not using all the features of the current part.

An online selection tool for MSP430s also could be used by yourself to input your requirements to filtering matched parts:
