TMS570LS3137-EP: TMS570LS3137-EP power down reset timing requirement

Part Number: TMS570LS3137-EP

As per the Figure 6-1. of TMS570LS3137-EP datasheet reset signal "nPORRST" needs to be asserted before core voltage (1.2V) fall below its operating range.

( tsu(PORRST) Setup time, nPORRST active before VCC < VCCPORH during power down = 2us minimum )

Given that the tolerance requirement on 1.2V supply for MCU operation is very narrow, and to meet the above nPORRST requirement a under voltage detection & Reset circuit will have to be designed to detect the falling voltage before 1.2V cross its minimum voltage for operation. This is very tricky.

We may not be able to meet this requirement all the time.

What will be the impact if we could not meet this requirement?

Manish
