TIDA-00779: L1, L2 and L3

Part Number: TIDA-00779

Hi,

The magnetic components L1, L2 and L3 used in the design are from QingDao YunLu Energy Technology CO.,LTD.

We wish to produce couple samples of all three magnetic used on board. Please provide an email address of the vendor as these are not available on web search.

Also there is a switch defined in the given BOM as S1 but I cannot work out where this part should fit on the board and where the terminals should connect. Could you please help to identify this?

Thank You,

Regards

Dasni H

  • Hi Dasni,

Please try to contact this email (wangliwei@yunlu.com.cn or wangshiwei@yunlu.com.cn) for the L1 and L2, please short-circuit L3, which just left for EMI test.
S1 is a switch for turn on and turn off, it is under C8.
  • HI Yuan,

Thank you so much for the answer.

However I can not figure out where are the solder pads to solder/mount the S1 switch leads?

  • Hi

Could you please get me answers to the following questions ASAP please.

    1. C28 defined part is currently out of stock for all major suppliers, could you please define an in stock alternative?

    2. L1, L2 and L3 parts have a very long lead time. Is it fine to short L1, L2 and L3 to do functional testing only, till the original parts get delivered?

    Thank you so much!

    Dasni

  • Hi Dasni,

    1. Yes, you can replace C28 by 1u/25V ceramic capacitor (X5R or X7R);
    2. If you have no requirement for EMC, you can short L1, L2 and L3 to do functional test.
any further help please feel free to let me know, thanks.
  • Thank you for the quick reply. Also I found some discrepancies in the BOM given for this unit. If you can check my questions below and answer them, it will be a great help.

    1. For C10 description mention 3300pF capacitor however given part number directs to a 4700pF capacitor. Should we follow the description (3300pF)?

    2. For C14 description mention 8.2uF 25V capacitor however given part number directs to a 4.7uF 10V capacitor. Should we follow the description (8.2uF)?

    3. For F1 shall we use Eaton BK/MDA-V-30-R Fuse?

    4. For R2 shall we use Murata PTGL20AS470H0D02BZ?

    5. Where does the U3 Temperature sensor gets mounted?

    Thank you in advance!

  • Hi Dasni,

Please find my answer as below.

    1. For C10 description mention 3300pF capacitor however given part number directs to a 4700pF capacitor. Should we follow the description (3300pF)?

    A: Yes, please use 3300pF.

    2. For C14 description mention 8.2uF 25V capacitor however given part number directs to a 4.7uF 10V capacitor. Should we follow the description (8.2uF)?

    A: Please use 8.2uF.

    3. For F1 shall we use Eaton BK/MDA-V-30-R Fuse?

A: If the current can meet 30A capability, it will be.

    4. For R2 shall we use Murata PTGL20AS470H0D02BZ?

    A: Yes, you can.

    5. Where does the U3 Temperature sensor gets mounted?

A: Close to MOSFET, this part is design for MOSFET thermal protection.
