We are developing a product with firmware based on the reference design enet_s2e example.

I wanted to add and remove item from the left menu but when I do the daughter pages do not load correctly.
I tried removing the CSS sheet since I thought that might be part of the problem but problem remains even with out any stile sheet.

I can duplicate the problem in the example project with a single modification to the file index.htm in the FS folder.

I commented out the line in the list for config2.shtm. Screen shot to follow.

Once I comment out the line, save the file and refresh the web page the navigation to the link misc.shtm malfunctions. Normally you select the link and the contents of the file misc.shtm is opened in addition to the index.htm. But after the change the link loads the misc.shtm file completly replacing the index.htm. . Screen shot (with out cascaded style sheet function) to follow.

To defeat CSS, I renamed the style sheet to "foo_styles.css"

Here is the modification I made to the index.htm file to remove one item in the left menu.

Here are three web pages. The index page as loaded. Then the page after pressing the S2E Port0 Settings link and finally page after pressing the S2E Miscellaneous Settings link which loaded completely replacing the index page.

Not sure what to try next to cut the problem in half (further localize it.)

Note I found the problem after building and running in the target hardware and the Launchpad, but I do not have to build the project and run on the Launchpad. I can duplicate the problem simply by opening the files in the FS folder. I drag the index.htm into my browser.

I am using Firefox 66.0.4.

Hi Forrest,

I did exactly the same modification as you did in the index.html file and I can see proper Port 0 Setting daughter page. See below. Did you rebuild the enet_fsdata.h file? Also see below screenshot to re-generate the file system image. Please note that if any of the files in the fs directory is changed, you must regenerate the enet_fsdata.h.

Hello Charles,

Thanks for investigating.

Your screen shot tested the Port 0 setup page. It is the S2E Miscellaneous link which loads improperly not the Port 0 page.

IIRC, I was able to reproduce the problem on IE and Firefox. My Samsung Galaxy browser also has the same error.

I think I have found and fixed the problem.

To recap, I commented out the line of code with the menu item for config2.htm.

This caused the problem.

To fix the problem two more changes. In the filejavascrip_load.js I commented out a line.

And in the file javascrip.js I did a similar change.

This fixed the problem.

I do not understand why the change to the window.onload function in the js files was required.
I would have assumed that an uncalled element would not matter.
