There are a few light Linux-like distributions that claim to run on the TM4C129x series (like NuttX, etc.), but a question like this was also asked in this post: https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/other/f/908/t/342170
In my experience, ARM Cortex-M series processors are not as supported for Linux as the ARM Cortex-A series. However, the TI-RTOS, FreeRTOS, and other RTOSes support Posix style programming on the TM4C. It all depends on what you need from Linux on this chip.
