TM4C1290NCPDT: Example code for code to invoke boot loader (i.e., equivalent of lmflashprogrammer)

Hi all

I want to be able to reprogram my custom board which has a TM4C1290NCPDT over one of the UARTs. I think I know how to do this, based on the documentation in SW-TM4C-BOOTLDR-UG-2.1.4.178. In that document it also says that I can use lmflashprogrammer to do the actual loading. However, for my application, I want to be able to load the board from another (linux-based) ARM controller. Rather  than reinvent the wheel, I wonder if someone has example code that would play the same role as lmflashprogrammer (just the guts, no GUI, no nothing, just the part that does the data transfer and relevant handshaking.)

Apologies if this question has been answered before -- frankly I couldn't figure out how to search for this.
