Trying to figure how to use the EMAC software. I have looked at the example using LWIP and its hard to apply it to lab equipment. Does this board have a socket API I could use? Is there a way to access a particular port using EMAC as you would using IP addresses?

Given that HALCoGen has FreeRTOS support, and there is FreeRTOS+TCP which provides a familiar and standards based Berkeley sockets interface, is it possible to use FreeRTOS+TCP with Hercules devices?

Micrium has TCP/IP stack for RM48Lx device.

What about for the RM46Lx? Is there another EMAC example I can look at?

RM46Lx and RM48Lx use the same Cortex-R4F core, and both devices can run up to 220MHz.

The only difference which may affect using TCP/IP stack is the memory size. RM46L852ZWT has 1.25MB Flash and 192KB RAM, but RM48L852ZWT has 3MB flash and 256KB RAM.

I think the TCP/.IP stack doesn't take much memory, so you can port this example to RM46L852 device.
