DRV2625: ERM Vibration motors Parameters & I2C 1.8V compatiblity

Part Number: DRV2625

1. I want to know whether W0525AB001D ERM Actuator is compatible with DRV2625. The datasheet doesn't have a detailed recommendation on the compatible ERM actuator parameters.
2. I'll interfacing DRV2625 with NRF52 through I2C. The peripheral(IO) voltage on the NRF52 is 1.8V. The Voltage that's being supplied to DRV2625 is 3.3. Low & high voltage input & output levels are matching with each other. Since it's an open-drain configuration, there's no need to worry about the voltage levels right(3.3 & 1.8 compatibilities)?
3. Do you guys verify the schematics through technical help or is there any other method to get it done?

  • Hi,

    To answer your questions,

    1. From looking at the datasheet this actuator should work with the DRV2625, compatibility can be determined by if the actuator falls in the voltage range that can be supplied by the DRV and that the load impedance is not less than 8 ohms.

    2. There is no conflict with the differing voltages, the digital interface is designed to run at 1.8V but can go as high as the voltage supply to the DRV

    3. We are here to help through E2E when designing your circuit containing our chip
