Hi,

This devices has voltage surge protection which clamps the supply voltage to 5.95V. This clamp circuit is only active during the lock protection cycle or when the device enters standby mode. It is disabled during normal operation.

Can you try to go from the high duty cycle to zero duty cycle? Are you seeing the voltage spike when you try this? Another recommendation is to add bulk caps to VM. Make sure the bulk caps are rated to twice the input voltage you plan to operate at. Let's see if this helps and we can go from there.

Hi Michael,

I will ask customer to check the spike when changing PWM duty from high to zero but we cannot limit customer how to control the motor. I will suggest customer to add bulk caps to see is there a large improvement.
