DRV8307: DRV8307 FAULTn active analyze

Part Number: DRV8307

Dear Expert

Good day!

Our customer want to test the driver signal , so they set the test condition below:

1.Do not connect the Motor

2.Short the Rsense to GND.

3.Supply the Hall signal external ,

They found that , the faultn will active low immediately when PWM is supply , it will last 5ms low then recover 5us high ,move in circles. I had check the datasheet , only OC/OT /rotor stall will let the faultn pin active .

I had confirm with the customer .

1.it does not looks like  rotor stall , if we do not supply the Hall signal , the Faultn  will wait 3s , if we supply the hall signal ,it will become low immediately .

2.it does not looks like OT , because the device never active .

3.it does not looks like OC , because the Vsense pin is set to short to GND .

So could you help me to confirm , is there any other reasons could cause the Faultn pin active ?

Best regards

Leon.liu
