MCT8316Z: Can I get a waveform of normal operation?

Hello TI experts,

My customer now tests MCT8316ZT-EVM for their new products, but they have a problem with initial operation especially SPI communicaction.

They requested the waveforms of initial SPI operation, I cannot find it on datasheet or EVM user's guide.

Can you send me the waveforms of SPI, SDO, SCLK, and nSCS based on EVM operation?

additionally they used the firmware below. should we need something more for SPI communication? or change something?

Dear Michael,

I have another question from my customer.

I can see only PMCT8316Z0TRGFR on product page, which have hardware interface.

how about MCT8316ZR which have SPI interface? when can I get the sample for this part? can you share the schedule for production?

Actually my customer already drew and made their 1st PCB with 8316ZR version. can I use this PCB same even I attach 8316ZT?

Hi Chase,

MCT8316Z0T and MCT8316Z0R are available for APL currently. Looking at samples.ti.com, I see you can sample MCT8316Z0R only or MCT8316ZTEVM. Both will be released to market near end of August.

For now, we recommend evaluating with MCT8316Z0T (H/W interface). The H/W device is P2P compatible with the SPI device, just replace the -R device with the -T device on the same PCB. It is good to allow resistor dividers for H/W options for SLEW, GAIN, ADVANCE, and VSEL_BK pins (see User's Guide). The EVM allows for simple hardware interface and reduces need for SPI communications. EVMs are currently out of stock, but they should be replenished very soon.

By RTM, we will have available a GUI for MCT8316Z0R (SPI interface). Currently, we have not finished the GUI and it will be completed and finalized before RTM.

I have one question, it seems that I can get only MCT8316Z0T on product page.

Can I get MCT8316Z0R (SPI) samples? I already requested it through TI reginal office, and I ask you once again.
