Part Number: DRV10987

Chat support has told us this part number DRV10987SLIPWPR is a customized version of DRV10987SPWPR. We can't find any datasheet or find out what is the nature of the customization to DRV10987SLIPWPR. Can anyone provide any information about this part number DRV10987SLIPWPR?

below is an image of the reel label of the customized version:

  • Hello Cameron,

This part is a custom device, meaning it is intended for a specific customer or set of customers.

We cannot share information about custom parts to customers who are not approved to use the device.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Hello Matt,

OK thanks for replying - very frustrating. We are trying to fin an alternative because of the shortages and lead times with the DRV10987 standard parts. We have been offered the DRV10987SLIPWPR as an alternative but obviously are hesistant to take the risk.

  • Hi Cameron,

I can tell you that the "LI" variant will not operate the same as a regular DRV10987. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you exactly why due to confidentiality.

I understand that the supply situation is very frustrating and you are looking for parts to use. Who is offering you the "LI" variant?

Information from our operations team: As you are aware, semiconductor industry is going through very high demand cycle currently. We suggest you to follow below steps:

    1. Work with your sale representative to place firm orders for your production needs, noting customer request date (CRD). That way, TI can assign estimated shipment date (ESD) for your orders.
    2. If you are facing line down in production, please escalate the Sale order number with TI customer service team. That way, we can work through accelerating your production.

    Thanks,

    Matt
