DRV8825: Current waveform abnormality

Part Number: DRV8825
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8424

I use DRV8825.

The current waveform does not take the form of a sine wave.

Increasing the pulse input speed will result in a sine wave.

Oscilloscope images are posted.

I tried 3 types of Decay mode.

Please tell me how to solve it.

  • Hello!

    Thank you for your post.

    1) Is this on your own board or EVM?

    2) If own board, can you post schematic?

    3) What is the supply voltage?

    4) Which decay mode is used for the plots you posted?

    5)  Motor parameters?

If you are just beginning your design, we have much newer motor drivers that offer a SmartTune feature.  DRV8424/26/34/36 could be considered.

    Regards,

    Ryan
