  • Hi Sayali,

I've seen this before, it usually happens when a new USB2ANY is being used.

What you'll need to do is completely unplug the USB2ANY from your computer. After that, use a small object to press the S1 button of the side of the USB2ANY and hold it down. While holding it down, plug the USB2ANY into your computer. Keep holding the S1 button down for a few more seconds then release. The USB2ANY should update the firmware after that and you'll be good to go.

I've noticed when doing this I thought I was pressing down the S1 button but I was pressing it down at an angle and it didn't actuate the button. So that could be the issue you're running into as well.

  • Hi Sayali,

Ok good you were able to update the firmware. Please make sure the EVM is properly powered up according to the datasheets spec. After that, check to see if the device is in sleep/standby mode. This can be done by setting the voltage on the SPEED pin accordingly.

I found another E2E thread and they were having a similar problem. If the suggestions I made above don't work you may want to take a look at this thread. Here is the LINK.

Please let me know if you resolve your issue.

  • Hi Michael,

I tried above option also by installing software in other location but it didn't work. One more thing when I open GUI it asked to select IC number , after selecting DRV10987 it shows error for DRV10983. is there any other way to solve this error.

  • Hi Sayali,

Try checking the USB connection from the DRV10987 EVM. It could be that this jumper is not properly plugged in.

Next, let's check that the DRV10987 is not damaged by seeing the voltages on Vreg, V3P3, V1P8, and VCP. What voltage are you using on VCC?

    Thanks,

    Michael

  • HI Michael,
