Hi guys,
I'm not sure if I understand correctly the datasheet.
It is possible to use 3v3 LDO regulator in linear mode to pullups I2C pins and DIR pins ?
Thank you for support.

Hi Michele,
The 3v3 LDO regulator can be used to drive external loads as long at the load doesn't exceed IV3P3_MAX (20mA). So it can work as a pullup voltage for the DIR, SDA, and SCL interfaces.
We have a I2C Bus pull-up resistor calculation white page you may find interesting. See link here
This page will help you find the correct resistor value to use as your pull up depending on your system parameters.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Regards,
Michael
Thank you for your quick replay.
My doubt is from datasheet, because IV3P3_MAX load is specified only for buck mode.
So I'm not sure about LDO in linear mode.
Hi Michele,
My mistake, yes this is only for buck mode. If device is in linear mode you can not use the 3v3 LDO regulator as a pull up.
Thanks,
Michael
